The No-Lift 5 Volume Activator created to work especially with our new acidic Demi-permanent Liquid Color contains Coconut Oil. The special formula allows pigments to develop without lightening or shifting the natural hair color.

What is the difference between our demi-permanent creme & new liquids?

Our Demi-permanent Creme Color has an alkaline pH and is mixed with 9 Volume Activator while our Demi-permanent Liquid Color has an acidic formula when mixed with the 5 Volume No Lift Activator and is designed for more sheer color results.

Will they cover gray hair?

Our demi-permanent liquid color is not designed to cover gray hair. It may give a slight blending effect for the first signs of gray hair, but if coverage is your concern, you should work with our Demi-permanent Creme for up to 75% gray blending or our Permanent Shades for up to 100% gray coverage.

Do I have to use the 5 Volume Activator?

Yes, the Demi-permanent No Lift 5 Volume Activator was designed specifically to be mixed with our liquid color to create an acidic formula. By using any other developer or activator, you are changing the chemical composition and we cannot guarantee the results.

Is the process timing the same with creme & liquid?

No, our cremes process up to 25 minutes whereas our liquids process up to 20 minutes.

Why won't I see lift with the demi-permanent liquids?

Our color formula and low volume activator create an acidic formula that only minimally opens the cuticle and will not lift pigments from the hair.

Why is there a different color wheel than our core range of color?

These shades have a different, more sheer result and our N series is cooler than the core range N series. Therefore, we created a color wheel that we feel better represents these shades.

Can we use the 5 Volume Activator with other Kenra Color or Lighteners?

No, this activator was designed specifically and exclusively for our demi-permanent liquid color. Using it with other products is not recommended.
